Our mission
About USCityHub
We built USCityHub because moving to a new city is one of the most important decisions Americans make — and most people do it without good data.
Our goal is simple: give every American free access to the city data they need to make a smarter, more confident relocation decision. No ads, no paywalls, no sponsored rankings.
What is USCityHub?
USCityHub is a free platform for Americans researching where to live, work, and raise a family. We aggregate data from the U.S. Census Bureau, NOAA, and state tax authorities to give you an honest, data-driven picture of life in any U.S. city.
Our tools include city profiles with cost of living, tax, and climate data; side-by-side city comparisons; relocation guides for high-intent searches; and lifestyle-based city recommendations for remote workers, families, retirees, and more.
Every page is built to answer a real question someone is asking when they type "moving to Austin" or "Austin vs Nashville cost of living" into a search engine.
What we believe
Value
Data first
Every number on this site comes from a primary government source or official record. We don't guess, estimate, or inflate.
Value
No paywalls
All city data, comparisons, relocation guides, and tools are free — forever. We believe informed decisions shouldn't cost money.
Value
Honest comparisons
We don't rank cities to sell ads or push a political agenda. Every city gets the same data treatment.
Value
Built for real decisions
Moving is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. We build tools that help you think clearly, not just browse endlessly.

Our methodology
Cost of living data — Median rent and home prices are drawn from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey 5-year estimates. Median household income figures are from the same source.
Tax data — State income tax rates are sourced directly from each state's department of revenue. We use the marginal rate applicable to median income earners. Local tax rates are from city/county tax authority records.
Climate data — Sunny days, average temperatures, and annual rainfall figures come from NOAA's 30-year climate normals (1991–2020).
Update frequency — All city data is reviewed and updated annually. Pages display a "data updated" date where available.
Accuracy disclaimer — Data is provided for informational and research purposes only. Figures represent averages and estimates — actual costs will vary by neighborhood, lifestyle, and personal circumstances. Always verify current figures with official sources before making financial decisions.
